IWC Hosts F1 Movie and Formula 1 Event in Miami
IWC brought together Formula 1 figures and the cast behind the upcoming F1 movie in Miami, while showcasing its APXGP watch collection.
Ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, IWC Schaffhausen hosted an event in Miami that brought together members of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team and key figures from the upcoming F1 movie.
The rooftop gathering featured Toto Wolff, George Russell, Kerry Condon, Simone Ashley, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Günther Steiner. The discussion focused on how the film was produced alongside real Formula 1 race weekends and the collaboration behind bringing the sport to the screen. Guests also had the opportunity to view IWC's APXGP watch collection, including the Ingenieur Automatic 40 APXGP and Pilot's Watch Chronograph APXGP models.
What We Noticed
What stays with us is seeing the APXGP watches displayed alongside the people and story that inspired them.
The green-dial Ingenieur Automatic 40 traces its origins to a prop watch worn by Sonny Hayes in the film. Nearby, the Pilot's Watch Chronograph APXGP and Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 APXGP were on display as guests moved through the Miami rooftop venue. The fictional APXGP team from the movie was there, but its watches were sitting in front of everyone.
