IWC Introduces the Portofino Automatic Day & Night 34 Le Petit Prince
IWC's first Le Petit Prince Portofino combines a 34mm case, blue dial, and a day-and-night display featuring the Little Prince on the moon.
IWC Schaffhausen has introduced the Portofino Automatic Day & Night 34 Le Petit Prince (Ref. IW459806) at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026.
The watch is the first Le Petit Prince edition in the Portofino collection. It features a 34mm stainless steel case, a blue sunray-finished dial, gold-plated hands and appliques, and a day-and-night display at 6 o'clock.
The display rotates once every 24 hours, showing the transition between day and night. The Little Prince appears standing on the moon, while an engraving of the character is also featured on the caseback. The watch is powered by the automatic Calibre 35180 and paired with a blue Santoni alligator leather strap.
What We Noticed
What stays with us is seeing the Little Prince in Portofino for the first time.
The familiar blue dial remains, but the eye is drawn to the display at 6 o'clock. As the disc turns through its 24-hour cycle, the Little Prince stands on a golden moon beneath the dial, looking up at the changing sun and moon above.
