New Releases

IWC has unveiled the first all-black Portugieser Chronograph in Ceratanium, featuring a monochrome design and a limited run of 1,500 pieces.

IWC Schaffhausen has introduced the Portugieser Chronograph Ceratanium (Ref. IW371631), the first all-black Portugieser Chronograph made in Ceratanium.

Limited to 1,500 pieces, the watch features a Ceratanium case, crown, and pushers, together with a black dial, black hands, black appliques, and a black rubber strap. It is powered by the IWC-manufactured 69355 chronograph calibre.

What We Noticed

What stays with us is how little contrast there is across the entire watch.

The case, dial, hands, crown, pushers, and strap all blend into the same dark tone. Even the Arabic numerals and quarter-second scale appear more as subtle shapes than distinct markings. It is immediately recognisable as a Portugieser Chronograph, but one rendered almost entirely in black.
